Kanye West - Eyes Closed (mixtape)
Though Kanye West is still reveling in the critical and commercial success of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, he's still pumping out new music and possible tracks for the upcoming collaboration with Jay Z, Watch the Throne. To see what you've missed check out the Eyes Closed mixtape, and hear the much talked about H.A.M., the Lex Luger produced first single from Watch the Throne. Lex Luger also produced Rick Ross' B.M.F. (Blowing Money Fast) and Fabolous' Lights Out, as evident by a similar sounding synth in all three tracks. Check it.

Deadmau5 - Live at Coachella
Is there anything better than a live show with some great music? I have a friend who saw Deadmau5 live and after the show a guy came up to her and asked her if she had a staring problem. She had no idea who he was or what he was talking about until he jogged her memory by stating "I was wearing a giant mouse head. Ring a bell?" I guess that's the price of anonymity: if you become famous while hiding your face, who is really famous? You, or the mask?

The Future of Turntables
Is the next step a completely digital touch screen interface? Greg Werk does have a good solution to lugging around hardware, which is a problem even if you're 100% digital. He made a way to completely customize a turntable set-up and store it in a flash drive. I'd like to think it would catch on, but there would undoubtedly be some backlash from the old school knob spinners.

The Game - Brake Lights (mixtape)
DJ Skee is back on his grind releasing a brand-new mixtape with The Game called Brake Lights. Skee was interviewed by MTV's Mixtape Daily to weigh in on what kind of impact this album will make.
"Reason we named it Brake Lights is because it's something you don't see if you're following us often — we don't stop," Skee said from his SkeeTV headquarters. "We just had to talk about it. Plus we just did The R.E.D. Album with Game. The biggest difference between this and The Red Room [mixtape] is, I think, the quality of records. This time around, it's a lot higher. We got some crazy features, more original stuff. It's not really any freestyles over other people's beats. It's all original music. So it's really like a real album. We're going back to those classic Game/ DJ Skee street-album days. It's gonna be pretty crazy."So check it out. I know I will.

DJ Skee is one of the hottest DJ's in the game and I've been bumping his shit for a few years now. He's made some extraordinary beats and remixes but if you've ever wished you could mix like DJ Skee, now's your chance.
