Jaydiohead - Dirt Off Your Android
One good track plus another good track sometimes doesn't add up. Fortunately Jaydiohead's mash up of, you guessed it, Jay Z and Radiohead not only works, but rocks the house. Check it out.

Re-Spun Sunday
Here's some classic tracks that were born-again through some creative mashups. These are all part of the Matchstix.com Stanton Mashup Challenge, and I encourage you to support these DJs and vote for these tracks if you like them.
Frail Limb Purity -
Rage Against the Machine, "Bulls on Parade" v. The Glitch Mob, "Drive it Like you Stole It"
Laying Bulls on Parade on top of Glitch Mob's deep electro-hip-hop gives the classic Rage song a whole new dark feel.
Top Flight -
Missy Elliot, "Work It" v. Elvis, "A Little Less Conversation (JXL Remix)"
This remix works surprisingly well, both lyrically and musically. Interesting choice of songs.
Bonez McCoy -
Chemical Brothers, "Swoon (Boys Noize Remix)" v. Dr. Dre / Eminem, "Forgot About Dre"
A good mix of trance and hip-hop. The Eminem break down about half way through the song is a good use of musical energy.

The Hood Internet (mixtapes)
The Hood Internet is one of my favorite groups right now. Their mixtapes blend the lyricsim of hip-hop with the smooth melodies of indie music in a way that seems organically composed. Though I wasn't initially a big fan of indie music, The Hood Internet has exposed me to some great music that I wouldn't have normally been looking for. Check out their mixtapes and if you like what you hear be sure to check them out live or visit their website: www.thehoodinternet.com for more free mixtapes, tour dates, and other info. You won't be disappointed.
