Jaydiohead - Dirt Off Your Android
One good track plus another good track sometimes doesn't add up. Fortunately Jaydiohead's mash up of, you guessed it, Jay Z and Radiohead not only works, but rocks the house. Check it out.

Nas - New Shit
Two weeks ago on Bass Thumpin' Thursdays, we presented a series of videos showcasing a few of Nas' highlights from the past 20 years. Now, Nas is gearing up for the release of The Lost Tapes 2 and though he has had issues with his label, Def Jam, he has stated publicly that if Def Jam won't release The Lost Tapes 2, then he would either release it himself online for free or include it as a bonus disc for people who purchase his next album. Either way, a slew of new music has been unearthed so hopefully we can take it as a sign that a new Nas album is on it's way.

Eminem - Recovery Bonus Tracks
Though Eminem's Recovery
is dropping tomorrow, it leaked in it's entiritey earlier this month, much to Em's chagrin. So what's a rapper to do? Release a couple of extra tracks to package along with the album. Check them out. One features Slaughterhouse
and the other one has production by Dr. Dre.

Dr. Dre feat. Jay-Z - Under Pressure
As reported a while ago, the first single off of Dr. Dre's forthcoming album Detox will be titled Under Pressure and feature a guest appearance by Jay-Z. Well, eager fans got a taste of what to expect because the single sprung a leak and an "unfinished" version of the song appeared on the net. Check it out and weigh in. Is it worth the hype, or should we all just shut up and let Dr. Dre bless us with a completed and mastered track? Dre is known for doing multiple versions of the same song before he finds one he likes, so could this be a way of testing the water before he jumps back in? You decide.

Anticipation Builds for Detox: Single Coming Soon (Supposedly)
The world is a different place since Dr. Dre released his last album and with the popularity of file-sharing, Dre may not sell as well as he once had. Regardless, Detox will be a day-one purchase for me and my only regret is that I don't have any Beats by Dr. Dre with which to listen to his opus. I am optimistic that Detox will please but sometimes it is hard to top even your own hype. Dre has kept the world waiting so long and changed his formula so much that people's expectations are at an all-time high. People are expecting a masterpiece. Will Dr. Dre deliver? My money's on "yes" but the world will have to wait and listen. In the mean time, check out some of the tracks that leaked or will most likely not be used on the album. If this is what Dre's thrown away, I can't wait to hear what he's kept.
