Oh yeah, that’s in the works. An instrumental album is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I have the ideas for it. I want to call it The Planets. I don’t even know if I should be saying this, but fuck it. [Laughs.] It’s just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like. I’m gonna go off on that. Just all instrumental. I’ve been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet. I’ve been doing this for about two years now just in my spare time so to speak. I wanna do it in surround sound. It’ll have to be in surround sound for Saturn to work.

Set to be released on November 16th, Dark Twisted Fantasy will feature the single Power and a recently leaked song See Me Know featuring Beyonce and Charlie Wilson available here or below. The title is an obvious reference to a kilogram - and cocaine, though I'm sure Jeezy hasn't touched the stuff in years. Side note: Why do a lot of rappers feel the need to brag about the drugs they've sold? Do they think we believe them and think they're tough? Either way, look out for TM 103, dropping on September 28th.

The Game - Brake Lights (mixtape)

DJ Skee is back on his grind releasing a brand-new mixtape with The Game called Brake Lights. Skee was interviewed by MTV's Mixtape Daily to weigh in on what kind of impact this album will make.

"Reason we named it Brake Lights is because it's something you don't see if you're following us often — we don't stop," Skee said from his SkeeTV headquarters. "We just had to talk about it. Plus we just did The R.E.D. Album with Game. The biggest difference between this and The Red Room [mixtape] is, I think, the quality of records. This time around, it's a lot higher. We got some crazy features, more original stuff. It's not really any freestyles over other people's beats. It's all original music. So it's really like a real album. We're going back to those classic Game/ DJ Skee street-album days. It's gonna be pretty crazy."

Lloyd Banks - 80's Baby (mixtape)

Since my birthday is today and I am an 80's baby, I thought I'd bring you a mixtape from the Punchline King, Lloyd Banks entitled 80's Baby. Lloyd has always been hot on the mixtape circuit and this one is no exception. Though Banks gained notoriety as a member of 50 Cent's G-Unit, He broke out on his own with 2004's number one album The Hunger for More and, even though he kept the rhythm going on mixtapes, his second studio album Rotten Apple failed to make an impression and ultimately lead to his dismissal from Interscope Records. Now, most artists would be devastated at receiving a pink slip, but Banks jumped back on the train he rode in on with a barrage of new material in mixtape format. Lloyd even went so far as to release his new song, Beamer, Benz, or Bentley with no major label promotion, a move that helped him reach #49 on the Billboard Hot 100. Interscope is now regretting their decision to drop Banks and is in talks to re-sign him based on the success of the single. Anyway, peep the 80's Baby mixtape and remember to look out for The Hunger for More 2.

Jay-Z - Creative Control (mixtape)

Before the mighty Neil Armstrong, DJ Green Lantern infamously toured with Jigga Man as his #1 on the 1's and 2's. In fact, around the time of his 2006 album Kingdom Come Green & Jay had intended to drop 'Presidential Invasion', a promotional mixtape created while the two were touring Africa and promoting Jay's "The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life" conquest to aid African countries in the pursuit of clean water. That mixtape never materialized, and the hip-hop world was left waiting for that elusive Hova v. Evil Genius collaboration. Four years later, with the summer of 2010 as the backdrop, and Jay-Z's Roc Nation label and DJ Green Lantern's Team Invasion as the suppliers, S. Carter takes it to the next level with a new kind of Creative Control. Green and Jay do the damn thing and drop this official new mixtape masterpiece, complete with trademark GL production, remixes, live appearances and never-before-heard music.

J. Cole is not the one to be slept on. Known primarily for being the first artist Jay-Z signed to his Roc Nation imprint, Jermaine Cole has kept on his grind and is trying to build anticipation for his major label debut, Cole World. What started with The Warm Up, followed by The Come Up is buzz that you just can't buy, and for those who already have both mixtapes, here's a compilation of tracks not on either album entitled The Blow Up. Today I bring to you a collaboration between Cee-Lo Green and DJ Greg Street called Stray Bullets and it is unlike any other mixtape ever posted on Digitally Read. New Stat Quo and Eminem

No sooner had I posted the previous entry, did I find a couple of new joints featuring Stat Quo and Eminem. The first, "Atlanta on Fire", is going to be featured on Stat Quo's upcoming album Statlanta and the second, "Classic Shit", seems to have been recorded when Stat was still Signed to Shady/ Aftermath, judging by Eminem's flow and Stat Quo's references. The Game - The Red Room (mixtape)

Building anticipation for the his long-awaited R.E.D. Album, set to drop on June 15th, The Game is back with DJ Skee to bring you The Red Room Mixtape. The mixtape features DJ Skee's version of The Game's recently released track 400 Bars and provides some fuel to the fire that is The Game. Beef and name-dropping aside, The Game is one of my favorite rappers alive right now and he rarely disappoints in the mixtape game.
