Young Buck - Came Back

A new video from Young Buck. His mixtapes have been on fire lately so be sure to keep your eye on this kid. He has put out way better music since he and G-Unit parted ways IMO.

The Game and DJ Skee - Purp and Patron (mixtape)

The Game and DJ Skee are back with this long awaited mixtape. Check out Purp and Patron and let us know what you think.

Suicide Girls - Love Letter to Belle and Sebastion

This is why it would be cool to be a professional musician. The money and the fame would be nice, but if I had women like these sending me videos like this, I don't know if I'd ever have the focus to work on music again. Either way, like most posts with the Suicide Girls in it, this video is NSFW and should only be viewed by adults.
I have been a HUGE Belle and Sebastian fan since my best friend put "The State I'm In" on a mix CD we played incessantly on a cross country road trip.

When their new album Write About Love came out and had a song called "Suicidegirl" on it, I had a complete fan girl moment which indie rockers are supposed to be too cool for.

When I told the other girls we were all so honored that we decide we had to do something to let them know how much we loved it. Carrina, Cheri and I got together with Mike Marshall who made our other movies and created our video ode to Belle and Sebastian.

Hope you like it!

xoxo

Women in the Workplace

If you haven't seen Mad Men, you are seriously missing out. One of the two hits that AMC has garnered, the other being Breaking Bad, Mad Men takes place in the 1960's fast place world of a Madison Avenue Advertising Company. It's interesting to see the take on life in the 60's, where people freely drank and smoked cigarettes in the workplace, and there was no such thing as sexual harassment. Check out this commercial for the show, and you'll see what I mean.

Wretch 32 - Traktor (Brookes Brothers Remix)

I'm not a huge fan of the original, but the Brookes Brothers Remix of Traktor is infectious and unique

Cage The Elephant - Shake Me Down

Bass Thumpin Thursdays - New 50 Cent Remixes

50 Cent just can't seemed to be stopped. After making millions urging fans to invest in his new joint venture with TVGoods, and premiering a new line of headphones to sell through them, 50 Cent has stayed on his grind the only way he knows how: through mixtapes and remixes. Though we only just recently posted the Buzzin remix featuring 50 Cent, We thought it would be a good idea to highlight some of his other video appearance and a sick remix to boot. Enjoy.

Kanye West - Eyes Closed (mixtape)

Though Kanye West is still reveling in the critical and commercial success of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, he's still pumping out new music and possible tracks for the upcoming collaboration with Jay Z, Watch the Throne. To see what you've missed check out the Eyes Closed mixtape, and hear the much talked about H.A.M., the Lex Luger produced first single from Watch the Throne. Lex Luger also produced Rick Ross' B.M.F. (Blowing Money Fast) and Fabolous' Lights Out, as evident by a similar sounding synth in all three tracks. Check it.

The Simpsons - XXX Parody Trailer

Just what is this world coming to? A live action XXX parody of The Simpsons is on it's way. BTW the Flanders sounds perfect.

Mann - Buzzin (Remix) ft. 50 Cent

Take a sample of Nu Shooz' I Can't Wait and throw in an interpolation of Ice Cube's Ghetto Bird and you've got a hot track. Have 50 Cent in the remix and you've got people really Buzzin.

Cyantific - Neon skyline

Cyantific is the stage name of Jon Stanley, an electronic producer/DJ from London, England. If you like experimental Drum and Bass, you'll love this.

The Go! Team - Rolling Blackouts Trailer

The Go! Team is an amazing mash-up of various styles and influences and they have an album dropping on February 1st entitled Rolling Blackouts. Check out the trailer for the album below and a mini documentary on the group under that. The Go! Team was one of the first groups we spotlighted here at Digitally Read almost a year ago and if you like what you hear, make sure to swoop up their album when it drops next month.

Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand

Personally, I hate Barbara Streisand. I can't stand her music, her acting, or her voice. That said, she is perfect fodder for the likes of South Park, and the group Duck Sauce, which is made up Armand Van Helden and A-Trak. Check out Barbara Streisand below and you'll see what I mean.

Diddy - Dirty Money - Last Train to Paris

Just how many videos does Diddy need to promote an album? If you're talking about his recent release with Dirty Money Last Train to Paris, we're talking a minimum of five. I guess, in an age where you really have to self promote in order to survive, Diddy is doing his part to make sure his album, as well as the artists featured on it are successful.

Jaydiohead - Dirt Off Your Android

One good track plus another good track sometimes doesn't add up. Fortunately Jaydiohead's mash up of, you guessed it, Jay Z and Radiohead not only works, but rocks the house. Check it out.

Tiësto vs. Diplo ft. Busta Rhymes - C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise)

Holy effing shit! I thought the original was crazy, but check out this official remix of Tiësto vs. Diplo's C'mon featuring Busta Rhymes devouring the beat. Most original of 2011 by far, so far.

Wiz Kalifa - Black and Yellow

Wiz Kalifa has been around for a couple of years but hasn't really gotten much radio play until his single Black and Yellow blew up. Now he's gone and shot a music video for the song, which you can view below. If you want something a bit older though, check out Wiz' take on the Pharcyde's Runnin' below.

Eminem - Relapse to Recovery (mixtape)

In case you missed some of the new music Eminem has been putting out, download the new mixtape Relapse to Recovery. There's a reason why Eminem's music generated over 94 million music streams in 2010.

Nas - New Shit

Two weeks ago on Bass Thumpin' Thursdays, we presented a series of videos showcasing a few of Nas' highlights from the past 20 years. Now, Nas is gearing up for the release of The Lost Tapes 2 and though he has had issues with his label, Def Jam, he has stated publicly that if Def Jam won't release The Lost Tapes 2, then he would either release it himself online for free or include it as a bonus disc for people who purchase his next album. Either way, a slew of new music has been unearthed so hopefully we can take it as a sign that a new Nas album is on it's way.

The Pharcyde - Runnin'

Though Passing Me By was posted earlier this month, I've been on a Pharcyde kick lately and would like to bring you Runnin'. This classic video is what ol school hip-hop was all about. From the J. Dilla produced track, to the social commentary on race relations, this video was truly ahead of it's time and even in 2011 is still as fresh as a new piece of gum.

Enter The Void

Enter the Void is a French film released in 2009, written and directed by Gaspar Noé. Labeled by Noé as a "psychedelic melodrama", It stars Nathaniel Brown in his debut role, Paz de la Huerta (of Boardwalk Empire fame) and Cyril Roy, also in his first role on film. The story is set in Tokyo and focuses on Oscar, a young American drug dealer who gets shot by the police, but continues to watch over his sister Linda and the events which follow on from his death during an out-of-body experience, floating above the streets of Tokyo and occasionally entering people's minds to observe their dreams. The entire film is shot from a first-person view, and occasionally has Oscar staring over his own shoulder as he observes moments from his past. Warning: This movie or it's previews are not intended for the epileptic.

Radeo Suicide & Sash

Some would call this video borderline pornographic, but we at Digitally Read call it a beautiful expression in art. Check out this video of the Suicide Girls doing what they do best and see if you can guess the track in the background. Warning: this video is NSFW and if you are offended by the sight of two stunning beauties fooling around, you should leave this site immediately and beat yourself with your Ethernet cord for having such impure thoughts.

Nu:Tone - Balaclava in my System

This song is so liquid you might have to drink it with a straw.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Heads Will Roll

How did one song spawn an awesome video and a couple of crazy remixes? Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Heads will Roll is already an infectious song to race to, but Little Vampire's remix of the track is featured on the soundtrack to Gran Turismo 5. Personally I would have gone with the Tiesto remix but they are both good and lucky you, you don't have to choose. Check out the original video below along with the tiesto and Little Vampire remixes under that.

Kanye West - Monster and Welcome to Heartbreak

Kanye West just dropped a couple of videos this week and we picked them up. First up is a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Jay-Z titled Monster and the other features Kid Cudi and is called Welcome to Heartbreak.

Deadmau5 - Live at Coachella

Is there anything better than a live show with some great music? I have a friend who saw Deadmau5 live and after the show a guy came up to her and asked her if she had a staring problem. She had no idea who he was or what he was talking about until he jogged her memory by stating "I was wearing a giant mouse head. Ring a bell?" I guess that's the price of anonymity: if you become famous while hiding your face, who is really famous? You, or the mask?

Lady Gaga Announces 'Born This Way' Album and Single

Lady Gaga definitely captures our attention when she wants to, and what better way to announce her new album and single than with a bare ass shot in the style of Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A? At midnight on New Years Eve, she tweeted, “THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11″ along with the accompanying photo, meaning the the first single will be the title track, which will be released on February 13, 2011 and the album itself will drop on May 23, 2011. Boy, she sure knows how to rile up her little monsters.
